With over 15 years of Music Programming, Production and Marketing, Kelly G. has discovered, developed and helped some of the biggest iconic names in music including Kanye West, John Legend, Sean “P-Diddy” Combs, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and so many more.
In 1999, after working with Steve Harvey at WGCI in Chicago, Kelly went on to program Viacom’s crown jewel, Black Entertainment Television (BET) where he helped start iconic music franchises like The BET Awards, 106 & Park, BET Hip Hop Awards, BET Music Matters, and BET Experience. It was at the BET Experience where Kelly G. helped bring together a star-studded lineup that included the first reunion of iconic rap duo Outkast, Dr. Dre and Snoop, Kendrick and Beyoncé. As Senior Director Of Music, every music video seen on BET (from 1999-2015), Kelly G. handpicked and gave many artists like Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, J. Cole, Lil Wayne and Ciara their first national exposure.
In 2015, Music Mogul Sean “P-Diddy” Combs tapped Kelly to help start his new music channel REVOLT TV. In his role as Head Of Music Programming and Celebrity Talent, he led the music and talent strategy across various linear and digital programming and off channel activations.
As a much sought after Senior Music Executive, Kelly G. has developed marketing and programming strategies for various artists and labels including Timabland and Nick Cannon. He is currently working with Music Moguls Kevin Liles and Lyor Cohen to develop a new media conglomerate with 300 Entertainment and YouTube.
